Protecting
the shoreline of rivers and waterways are projects that require a variety of
construction methods: earth moving, pile driving, concrete placement, and
sometimes dredging as well.
Shoreline projects are an important part of
Southport’s operation. The company is well equipped for these types of
projects. Most recently SOUTHPORT completed installation of retaining walls at
the Male Pandye and Ti Mango sites along the Artibonite River in Haiti. The
Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Haiti
sponsored the project as part of the country’s ongoing farmland restoration and
protection program.
